Chairman of the Baghdad Provincial Council visits the National Museum
National Museum Chairman of the Baghdad Provincial Council Dr. Riyad Al-Adadh and his accompanying delegation visited The National Museum on Monday, 12/2/2018. The delegation was received by the Director General of the National Museum Mr. Jamal Saad Omar, and Assistant Director Dr. Khalid Al-Haiti. Accompanying the delegation During the tour of the museum’s galleries was Director of Programs and Visitor Relations, Mr. Mohamed Halawi. He gave them a description of major artifacts that represent the cultural dimension of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Chairman of the Baghdad Provincial Council and the delegation expressed their admiration of the collections they saw and which reflect the civilization and history of Saudi Arabia. In the VIP Log, the Chairman stated "We were impressed by the heroic stories of the unification of the Kingdom by King Abdul Aziz - may God have mercy on him – as well as the renewer of Islam Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Wahab." He added that the museum reflects the history of Saudi’s formation. He concluded his statement by thanking museum officials and everyone that contributed to preserving the urban and historic heritage of this country”. At the end of the tour he was gifted a replica of an ancient artifact and was bid farewell with the same warmth he was received.
