summer program at The National Museum

 

        During summer 1439 AH The National Museum in Riyadh starts a lot of cultural, educational and artistic programs and activities that attract the National museum’s guests’ attention, and emphasizes the social and educational role provided by the museum to the public in various social and age groups.  

 

The National Museum starts its summer program by sharing families the joy of Eid and organizing a celebrating program shows happiness and presenting to the visitors Arabic coffee and Eid’s candy for three days.

 

As part of the ongoing efforts to raise awareness of the importance of history and heritage and to seek to link the community to its roots, the museum organizes a number of educational workshops for families and children, it includes workshops in pottery decoration and restoration, folk games, Arabic calligraphy, folk costumes, seal industry, printing art, collage art, as well as learning photography without camera in a fun educational form that involves all the family members and raises their imagination and gives them valuable memories to carry home with them.

The workshops will last until ninth of august, two days per week, Wednesday morning and Thursday night.  

The museum also receives university students as part of their research requirements during the summer course, where the museum has an intensive scientific program known to the sections of the museum through their direct work with the staff of specialized staff.

During the summer period, the museum hosts two temporary exhibitions, the first exhibition is for The National Museum expansion and development project and the other exhibition will be about of the awareness of heritage.

The museum concludes end its activities by Eid Alaldha celebrating program.
